The Game Development catalyst

The Array is revolutionizing game development education in the Northern Territory with a comprehensive program designed for aspiring developers.

With four focused courses, insightful masterclasses, and dynamic game jams, we provide a platform for participants to unleash their talent, gain hands-on experience, and create memorable games.

And all of these will culminate in an end of year major event (details coming soon!).

Now is the best time to get involved, scroll below and discover the projects we have planned and how you can be part of this evolving community in 2025.

This opportunity is thanks to Screen Australia's support through their Games Festivals and Event Fund, and can't thank them enough for their support in growing the local talent here in the NT.

Game Development Courses

Four courses throughout the year which focus on different elements of game development:
- Music and sound design for the Screen with Ben Houghton

- 2D art and character design with Skye Lavelle

- Game Programming in Godot with Declan Smyth

- The Games Gauntlet with Dan Ferguson

Masterclasses

Game Development Masterclasses bring the best of the industry to the NT, to share and connect with the local talent.
Current line up includes Morgan Jaffit & Shainiel Deo, with more to be announced soon.

Game Jams

Game Jams are the start for many seasoned developers, driving innovation and creativity through constraints. The Array is hosting four game jams as part of The Gamecraft Initiative, each with their own themes and prizes to be won.
